I would recommend easy mode since most would play this game for some simple cover shooter sections with platforming and puzzle solving inbetween. If enemies had less health on normal difficulty, the game would be far more enjoyable in my opinion. Like the previous title, stealth is present at the start of some combat sections, but once you are spotted you are stuck in combat mode for the duration of that combat section. There is this boatyard section at one point in the game that can be infuriating due to the amount of enemies that pummel you as soon as you are spotted. Compared to the previous game, enemies take a lot of shots due to increased health which adds to the unrealistic universe I suppose, but it makes things more challenging to the point of frustration. It seems like the scenarios and dramatic elements here are supposed to help make up for the average storyline since they are far more memorable.Īs far as gameplay, this game reeks of bullet sponge enemies. The big treasure is also a bit underwhelming and the events surrounding it and events that lead up to it tread on the same ground as the previous game. The main villains are uninteresting, one of which is absurdly sturdy with plot armor. There are more cinematic elements and set pieces to levels, but the main story is lacking in some regards. You can tell this game was made by the B-team during development. It's a step down from Uncharted 2 but still better than Uncharted 1. After you've done 5 million others in the previous games the sense of danger reduces dramatically when you automatically know that nothing will ever actually happen to Nate. +/- Set pieces are fine but feel old at this point. Set dressing is sometimes awkward and makes it unclear where to go next Enemy spawns are often annoying as they'll spawn right behind you while you're engaging enemies directly in front of you Though of course the enemies are the usual Uncharted bullet sponges +/- Same goes for shooting, though the guns feel less accurate this time around +/- Platforming is perfunctory and is essentially unchanged from Uncharted 2 Though some sections do have forced melee fights where you're locked in to the animation which is difficult to break out of, and even if you do shooting them in the head doesn't do anything

+ Melee is much improved, like letting you counter, dodge and do takedowns on enemies by jumping on them from a high vantage point. Puzzle system is very odd as there are far too many in the first half that completely kills the pacing, while simultaneously the second half of the game has none whatsoever, and the puzzles themselves aren't fun either. + Story is competent enough, though does meander a lot

I had fun with the whole Uncharted series, I hope Naughty Dog will send some new games in this series our way. * The onslaught of enemies in certain areas. It was harder in this instalment to understand where I was going, so I often fell to my death. * I liked that it wasn't always about gun fighting I would throw a few punches here and there as well. * The action packed scenes are once again fantastic Then you're bombarded by RPG's, snipers and tanks and those blasted shotgun guys with heavy suits at the same time. The combat is somewhat easier, until you reach the halfway point. * In the beginning there's less focus on fighting. * You can throw back grenades, which is really useful. I'm happy I have one more Uncharted game waiting to be played, because I'm not ready with these games. You're on a horse in the desert and on busy marketplaces in Yemen. You're fighting while ships sink and planes crash.

I'm once again amazed by all the different challenges Naughty Dog throws your way. They are searching for Atlantis of the Sands, a place Francis Drake has supposedly found and covered up. We're back with Nathan Drake and Sully who are now plotting against Marlowe and Talbot. This game is a great continuation of the series.
